Life as a Kaiba Corp. Assistant
The development part of  any of our products is the worst part for me because i don’t have anything to do! Also i have been sick for the last few days and Seto doesn’t want me coming with him to meetings or on trips lest i give future investors the idea that he has sick people working for him…which is the truth since i didn’t even try and ask for sick days because i knew i would be denied. but as long as none of them know.
This is what my mind has done after a week of sitting at my desk, answering emails and doing NOTHING!
I think Carlotta and Seto have quite a bit in common. They both are huge Divas who had there spotlight taken away by a young, unknown person of higher talent with the assistance of some outside force. They also don’t look very good in orange…
This is a Phantom of the Opera joke btw…or Pharaoh of the Opera hahahaha…im so funny

Sorry for the inactivity

But day to day life at Kaiba Corp is not all that interesting (i don’t think anyway) its a lot of sitting at my desk and waiting for Mr. Kaiba to need something, relaying Mr. Kaiba’s wishes to a bunch of really confused people, scheduling meetings and things, sending apology letters to everyone important that Mr. Kaiba has offended and planning out his travel plans so they don’t intersect with Yugi Moto’s (this is hard, since he doesn’t always walk home the same way)

If you all ask some questions or made some suggestions it would make my life easier (and make the PR department hate me less)

Mr. Kaiba did go to a charity event the other night so i guess i could post some pictures from that…but i’ll have to wait until i can get them from someone who was there…

Part 1 - I do play Duel Monsters, but mostly because it helps me understand the game and its a large part of my job. I’ve actually gotten worse at it since getting this job due to the fact that I don’t really have anyone to play with. Im much more interested in Dungeon Dice Monsters and am fairly good at it.
Part 2 - My hiring process was a little strange. I was lent to Kaiba Corp. by my old employer when they came to America for the E3 convention in California to help Seto and Mokuba with whatever they needed. After the convention I traveled back with them to Japan because there was a bit of follow-up they needed my help with, but I was only supposed to stay for a week or two. I get a phone call at 2 in the morning the day before I’m meant to go home from Mr. Kaiba telling me to come in and ‘do my job’ I reminded him that i don’t actually work from him to which he hung up the phone and called me back 20 minuets later. “You do now” was all he said.
And now here I am…All he did was renegotiate the open contract he had with my former boss to add my employment contract as one of his benefits. I have no idea what my ex-boss got in exchange but there was no hard feeling in the whole ordeal. I could have denied the transfer but i wasn’t really going anywhere in my old job and this one pays much better.
If your interested in a job here I doubt you will get an interview with either of the Kaiba brothers. Most likely it will be a project manager or even myself.

This is what truly separates the Executives from the Assistants.

I have yet to master my KC cloak. Incase you were wondering, I am required to wear it, not that I don’t like getting attacked by my clothing every time there is a slight breeze or looking like me and my boss share a fashion sense.

It has something to do with presenting a unified front and is the working of the PR department who, im pretty sure, doesn’t like me very much.

Got this photo from the Daily Domino (For those of you not residence of Domino City thats one of the local papers) The caption read:
King of Games, Yugi Moto poses with Kaiba Corp’s long awaited 2nd Generation Duel-Disk with friends Joey Wheeler, Tea Gardener, and Tristan Taylor at last nights beta testing of the product. Also shown are Kaiba Corp Vice president Mokuba Kaiba and assistant Spencer McNight.
You cant really see me but im actually glad. I have this really silly look on my face (not quite used to being photographed for news articles.) This is great publicity since Mr. Moto isn’t a Kaiba Corp Spokesmen (I wonder why) so its kind of like free advertising.
This is not the first time i’ve met Yugi and his friends, but it is the first time i’ve have a chance to speak with him. What a sweetheart! I hear that he’s a totally different person when he duels though…

yay for nice first questions.
So yeah, Mr. Kaiba is definitely a tea drinker and takes it black with just a little sugar. He also doesn’t like it really hot so he lets it sit out for long periods of time. Its not uncommon to find un-drunken tea just sitting on his desk because he either had to go do something or simply forgot it was there.
He says coffee make him jittery and unfocused if he isn’t already fairly worn out. This is why its only consumed during one of his famous all nighters (like last night) which are, unfortunately, fairly common.

Looks like another late night for my boss…which means a late one for me too. Sometimes I wonder why I bother leasing an apartment.
anyway this is a thank you to all those who took the time to help us out this evening with the Beta-testing. All the insight really helps make nights like this less frequent.
oh! looks like the prez is out of coffee. Spencer to the rescue! Good night from all of us here at Kaiba Corp Headquarters (which right now is just me, Seto and the night cleaning crew)

Its been a slow day.
Seto’s meeting ended about an hour ago but he’s still in his office working…on what I cant say just yet but I promise you will like it.
This also means that our esteemed prez wont be making an appearance at tonights beta-testing of the new and improved KC duel-disk system. Sorry ladies.
But Mokuba and I will be there, running registration and accepting pre-orders so if you’re in the vicinity of Domino Park around 9:30 tonight and have time for a quick duel come and test the systems for free. I hear there may even be a visit from the local royalty…
